LignoBioLife

On the 5th and 6th of November, Nantes hosted the VI Interregional Event of the Bioregio project. BIOREGIO is a European project, financed with ERDF funds, that aims to promote the circular economy of organic waste streams by exchanging experiences on the best available techniques. The role of the Department of Environment of FGUA as a stakeholder of the Government of Castilla-La Mancha consists of advising and sharing good practices based on models of valuation of lignocellulosic waste. During the VI interregional event, the evaluation of the good practices presented by each region was carried out and the three most voted by the attendees were selected, among which was chosen "Wood Vinegar as Natural Bio-herbicide" presented by the Department of Environment of FGUA. The LignoBioLife project has, among others, the objective of studying the potential applications of Wood Vinegar as a substitute for synthetic herbicides such as glyphosate.

Durante los días 5 y 6 de noviembre Nantes acogió el VI Evento Interregional del proyecto Bioregio. BIOREGIO es un proyecto europeo financiado con fondos FEDER que tiene como objetivo el impulso de la economía circular de los flujos de residuos orgánicos mediante el intercambio de experiencias sobre las mejores técnicas disponibles. El papel de la Cátedra de Medio Ambiente como stakeholder del Gobierno de Castilla-La Mancha consiste en asesorar y compartir buenas prácticas basadas en modelos de valorización de residuos lignocelulósicos. Durante el VI evento interregional se realizó la evaluación de las buenas prácticas presentadas por cada región y se seleccionaron las tres más votadas por los asistentes, entre las que resultó elegida “Wood Vinegar as Natural Bio-herbicide” presentada por la Cátedra de Medio Ambiente.
