Videos of the conferences on the LIGNOBIOLIFE Project

Imagen
The 24th of November of 2021, the conferences on the LIGNOBIOLIFE Project were held at the University of Alcalá, where representatives of the different partners of the project participated as speakers. These conferences were broadcast via the internet and they dealt with all the aspects related to this project. The theoretical basis of bioproducts were explained, all the experimental part was detailed and the results obtained were presented. Furthermore, the conferences analyzed the possibilities for the use of these bioproducts, the technical and economic viability at the market level were discussed, and the regulatory aspects to consider in its production and use. The following links show the videos of each of the presentations: Presentation and welcome. Lignobiolife Conference. Use of biomass pyrolysis bioproducts, perspectives and possibilities. Process of biomass pyrolysis to obtain advanced bioproducts. Effects of Biochar as a soil improver and Wood vinegar as a herbicide. Possib...

Testing spinach germination using a mixture of Biochar and Wood Vinegar

Imagen
Tests on the germination of spinach ( Spinacia oleracea ) were carried out, also using a mixture of Wood Vinegar and Biochar, like in experiments with other crops. This mixture was made of both products (Wood Vinegar and Biochar) coming from orujillo (waste obtained in the production of olive oil), using different concentrations of 0, 5, 10, 20, and 30%, mixing the product with soil, and placing it in seedling trays, where spinaches were latter planted. The germination occurred in a phytotron, which allows to keep homogeneous and controlled conditions. This research helps us to determine the optimal concentration of the mixture in soil for the germination of the seeds. mixture of Biochar and Wood Vinegar on soil Phytotron in laboratory of Biology (UAH) soil with bioproduct in seeding trays (day 1) seeding trays with spinach (day 15)
