LignoBioLife

Una de las actuaciones del proyecto LignoBioLife es la difusión y búsqueda de socios industriales. Se ha presentado el proyecto en el Congreso Nacional de Medio Ambiente, que tuvo lugar en Toledo del 1 al 4 de abril de 2019, tanto como comunicación técnica como en la jornada correspondiente a bioeconomía del sector forestal. Se aprovechó el congreso para contactar con miembros de otros proyectos con los que poder establecer sinergias y que pueden ayudar a conseguir los objetivos de ambos.

One of the actions of the LignoBioLife project is the diffusion and search for industrial partners. The project has been presented at the National Environmental Congress, which took place in Toledo from the 1st to 4th or April of 2019, both as a technical communication and in the conference corresponding to the bioeconomy of the forestry sector. The congress was also used to contact members of other projects to establish synergies and who can help achieve the objectives of both.

One of the objectives of the LignoBioLife project is testing a natural herbicide from wood vinegar, which can replace the controversial Glyphosate. To do this, and to learn about the project first-hand, Juan Antonio González from the "Cooperativa Agraria Santa María Magdalena", and José Luis Sánchez, from the Mondejar Designation of Origin, visited the facilities of the University where they were received by Juan Luis Aguirre, Director of the project. After learning about the project and seeing the bioproducts, accompanied by the manager of the ADASUR Local Action Group, Fausto González, the next tests with the herbicide and biochar were apointed. Dentro del proyecto LIFE está el objetivo de probar un herbicida natural proveniente del vinagre de madera, que pueda sustituir al polémico Glifosato. Para ello, y para conocer el proyecto de primera mano, visitaron las instalaciones de la Universidad, Juan Antonio González, de la Cooperativa Agraria Santa María Magdalena y José Luis Sánchez, de la Denominación de Origen Mondejar donde fueron recibidos por Juan Luis Aguirre, Director del proyecto. Después de conocer el proyecto y ver los bioproductos, acompañados por el gerente del grupo de acción local de ADASUR, Fausto González, se concretaron las próximas pruebas con el herbicida y con el biochar. Tanto la cooperativa de la zona como la Denominación de Origen Mondejar se mostraron muy receptivos, mostrando mucho interés en el proyecto y estando de acuerdo en la colaboración durante los próximos años. The  LignoBioLife P roject is in full swing to put on the market a natural herbicide, a fertilizer and asphalt material, all from agricultural and forestry residues. With a budget of 1.3 million euros, a total of 8 partners from Spain and Portugal participate in this LIFE project in the area of climate change, including the Portuguese Local Action Groups Douro and Dueceira The ultimate objective is to promote the creation of bio-refineries that put these bio-natural products on the market, useful for pest control, agriculture and more sustainable works. El 31 de enero de 2019, tendrá lugar la primera reunión de lanzamiento y coordinación del proyecto LignoBioLife. A dicha reunión, a desarrollar en la Universidad de Alcalá, acudirán todos los socios españoles y portugueses y tiene como fin coordinar las actuaciones que ya se están llevando a cabo dentro del Proyecto. A dicha reunión acudirá también un representante de la comisión del seguimiento de la UE, con la que se pondrán en común los objetivos del proyecto y el ritmo de implantación de las acciones del mismo.
